About Plainspoke

Plainspoke is a short daily note about AI for people who don't work in tech. Every morning: three stories, what each one changes in your life, one word explained, and one thing to try. Three minutes, no jargon.

How it's made

The numbers are written with Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, from primary sources only: official announcements, agency alerts, studies and filings. We never rewrite other outlets' reporting. A human editor checks every issue before it goes out.

How to read a story

Each story has The upside and The catch, two true facts about the same news. Our read appears only when we have something clear to say. The Reality check scores a story from 1 to 5: is it available now, independently tested, backed by numbers, and something you can act on this year. A company describing its own product never scores above 2 until someone else checks it.

We don't give medical, legal or financial advice. Spotted a mistake? Write to hello@plainspoke.news.
